# Tokens primarios y de suplantación

#### Token primario

Cada proceso tiene un **token primario**.

Este token describe el contexto de seguridad de la cuenta de usuario asociada al proceso.

De forma predeterminada, Windows usa este token cuando un proceso interactúa con un objeto seguro.

#### Token de suplantación

Un hilo también puede usar un **token de suplantación**.

La suplantación permite que un hilo actúe temporalmente con el contexto de seguridad de otro usuario o cliente.

Por lo tanto, un hilo que suplanta a un cliente puede tener:

* un token primario;
* un token de suplantación.
