# Tokens primários e de impersonação

#### Token primário

Cada processo tem um **token primário**.

Este token descreve o contexto de segurança da conta de usuário associada ao processo.

Por padrão, o Windows usa este token quando um processo interage com um objeto seguro.

#### Token de personificação

Uma thread também pode usar um **token de personificação**.

A personificação permite que uma thread aja temporariamente com o contexto de segurança de outro usuário ou cliente.

Uma thread que personifica um cliente pode, portanto, ter:

* um token primário;
* um token de personificação.
